1. Acceptance Of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Lane of Trust Foundation website and related online services. By using the website, submitting information, or making a donation through the website, you agree to these Terms.

2. About Lane Of Trust Foundation

Lane of Trust Foundation is a Christian humanitarian nonprofit organization based in Vancouver, Washington. The Foundation seeks to demonstrate the love and teachings of Jesus Christ through humanitarian service, education, charitable assistance, community support, and Christian religious activities.

General humanitarian assistance is intended to serve people based on charitable need regardless of faith or background and is not conditioned upon religious conversion or participation.

3. Website Information

The website provides general information about Lane of Trust, its mission, programs, fundraising campaigns, projects, partners, volunteer opportunities, and charitable activities. Information may change as projects, needs, funding, legal requirements, and Foundation priorities evolve.

Nothing on the website constitutes legal, tax, medical, financial, mental-health, or other professional advice.

4. Donations

Lane of Trust may accept one-time, recurring, online, offline, and in-kind donations in support of its charitable, educational, humanitarian, and religious purposes.

By making a donation, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method or property provided and that the donation is lawful.

Donation processing may be provided by third-party fundraising or payment services, whose separate terms and privacy policies may apply.

5. Tax-deductibility And Receipts

Lane of Trust will provide donation acknowledgments and tax-related information as appropriate and as required by applicable law. Donors are responsible for consulting their own tax advisers regarding deductibility, valuation, reporting, and substantiation.

The Foundation will describe its federal tax-exempt status accurately. Until final IRS recognition under Section 501(c)(3) has been issued, Lane of Trust will not represent that final IRS recognition has been received. Any tax-deductibility language used while an application is pending should be consistent with applicable law and legal counsel's guidance.

Where a donor receives goods or services in connection with a payment, the deductible amount may be limited, and Lane of Trust will provide disclosures required by applicable law.

6. Recurring Donations

Recurring donations will continue according to the frequency selected by the donor until canceled, the payment method fails, or the recurring arrangement otherwise ends.

Donors may request cancellation or modification through the applicable fundraising/payment platform or by contacting Lane of Trust. Cancellation generally affects future charges and does not automatically reverse donations already processed.

7. Program And Project Preferences

Lane of Trust may allow donors to express a preference for a Foundation-approved program, campaign, or project.

Unless Lane of Trust expressly accepts a legally binding restriction, a donor's selection or designation is treated as a preference for use in furtherance of the identified charitable purpose. Lane of Trust retains ultimate discretion and control over donated funds and property consistent with applicable law, its governing documents, and restrictions formally accepted by the Foundation.

Lane of Trust does not operate merely as a conduit for donors to transmit tax-deductible contributions to a predetermined foreign organization or private individual.

If a preferred project is completed, overfunded, discontinued, becomes impracticable, cannot legally proceed, or no longer requires the full amount contributed, Lane of Trust may apply funds to substantially similar charitable purposes to the extent permitted by applicable gift terms and law. Legally restricted gifts will be handled according to their accepted restrictions and applicable law.

8. Refunds

Charitable donations are generally intended to be final. Lane of Trust may consider refund requests in limited circumstances, including duplicate transactions, processing errors, unauthorized transactions, or other circumstances the Foundation determines appropriate.

Refund requests should be submitted promptly to info@laneoftrust.org with sufficient transaction information for review. Any refund is subject to applicable law, payment-provider rules, donor restrictions, whether funds have already been committed or used, and the Foundation's reasonable determination.

9. In-kind Donations

Lane of Trust may accept donated goods, equipment, supplies, or other property when appropriate for its charitable purposes. The Foundation reserves the right to accept, decline, redirect, or dispose of offered property as permitted by applicable law and accepted gift terms.

Unless required by law, Lane of Trust does not provide donors with an appraisal or determination of the fair market value of donated property. Donors are responsible for obtaining independent tax or valuation advice and completing donor-side tax documentation required for noncash contributions.

10. No Control By Donors

A donation does not give a donor ownership, management authority, voting rights, control over beneficiaries, control over Foundation partners, or authority to direct the Foundation's day-to-day operations or grantmaking decisions.

11. Fundraising Campaigns And Program Changes

Descriptions, fundraising goals, budgets, timelines, partners, and anticipated outcomes are based on information reasonably available when published and may change because of humanitarian conditions, legal restrictions, security concerns, partner capacity, funding, project needs, or other circumstances.

Lane of Trust will seek to communicate material changes honestly and use charitable resources consistently with its exempt purposes and applicable gift restrictions.

12. Volunteer And Partnership Inquiries

Submitting a volunteer, partnership, grant, employment, or other inquiry through the website does not guarantee acceptance, funding, appointment, employment, partnership, or participation. Lane of Trust may establish additional eligibility, screening, safeguarding, compliance, or agreement requirements.

13. Prohibited Use

Users may not violate applicable law; attempt unauthorized access; introduce malware or harmful technology; misrepresent identity or affiliation; falsely imply Foundation endorsement; or interfere with website operation or security.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, website content, text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, trademarks, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Lane of Trust or used with permission. No right to use Lane of Trust's name, logo, branding, or content for commercial or misleading purposes is granted by these Terms.

15. Third-party Services And Links

The website may link to or integrate third-party fundraising platforms, payment processors, social networks, maps, analytics services, partner websites, or other services. Lane of Trust does not control those services and is not responsible for their independent content, availability, privacy practices, security, or terms.

16. Disclaimer

The website and its content are provided for general informational and charitable purposes. To the extent permitted by law, Lane of Trust does not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that all information will remain current at all times. Nothing in these Terms excludes obligations or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lane of Trust Foundation and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising solely from use of or inability to use the website or third-party services linked from it. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

18. Privacy

Use of the website is also subject to the Lane of Trust Foundation Privacy Policy, which describes how the Foundation may collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law or another applicable law controls.

20. Changes to These Terms

Lane of Trust may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on the website with an updated effective or revision date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
